1. FC Köln's logo shows a black and white billy goat on top of a red circular badge. The circle includes Cologne Cathedral, the text 1. FC KÖLN, and white and black dividing bands. The goat is Hennes, the live mascot first given to the club in 1950 and named after player-coach Hennes Weisweiler, which is also where the Billy Goats nickname comes from.
