SC Freiburg's badge is a black and white upright oval split on the diagonal. The white upper-left half has a black griffin head, while the black lower-right half shows a white SCF lettering. SCF stands for Sport-Club Freiburg, and the griffin is a Baden heraldic symbol that has been part of the club's badge history since the early twentieth century.
