About Tottenham Logo
Tottenham Hotspur's badge shows a navy cockerel standing on an old-style football. The bird refers to Sir Henry Percy, known as Harry Hotspur, after whom the club was named, and to the spurs fitted to fighting cocks. The cockerel and ball also derive from the copper figure made for White Hart Lane in 1909. Navy is one of Tottenham's traditional colors.
